Contract end dates to cover the Play Off’s and Promotion Finals
A contract end date must cover the last League fixture of the regular Season campaign. Clubs are able to insert into a contract an additional clause which allows a contract to extend beyond the end date of the contract to cover the last competitive game.
Any contracts that expire before the last League fixture of the regular Season campaign and do not include an additional clause to extend, clubs must either:
- complete and sign new contracts and submit to The FA by raising a ticket at FA Player Status and Registrations to supersede the current agreements in place, or;
- a signed letter by both club and player agreeing to extend the contract to cover the Play Off’s and Promotion Finals (or other Finals). The signed letter must be submitted to The FA by raising a ticket at FA Player Status and Registrations
